Q: Why fit the LA4DE2U suppressor module on a contactor coil?

A: When a contactor coil de-energises, the collapsing magnetic field generates a high-voltage transient (several hundred volts to kV) that can destroy PLC transistor outputs, weld small relay contacts, and disturb nearby electronics. The LA4DE2U clamps this transient at source. It is strongly recommended whenever a PLC, electronic timer, or sensitive control circuit switches the coil.

Q: Does the LA4DE2U suppressor type affect contactor drop-out time?
