How to Claim Warranty for Products Purchased

All products sold on My Electric are 100% genuine and come with the official manufacturer’s warranty.
Warranty support is provided directly by the brand’s authorized service centers.

Here’s how you can claim warranty for any product you purchase:


1️⃣ Keep Your Invoice Ready

Your GST invoice / purchase invoice is required for all warranty claims.
You can download it anytime from:

My Account → My Orders → Download Invoice

This serves as your proof of purchase.


2️⃣ Check the Warranty Period

Different brands have different warranty durations. Examples:

  • Switchgear (MCB/MCCB): 1–2 years
  • Wires & Cables: 1–5 years depending on brand
  • Fans & Appliances: 1–2 years
  • LED Lights: 1–3 years
  • Industrial products: Varies by manufacturer

You can find warranty details on the product box, brand website, or invoice.


3️⃣ Visit the Brand’s Authorized Service Center

Almost all major brands (Havells, Schneider, Legrand, Polycab, Philips, Crompton, etc.) handle warranty directly.

You can walk into any authorized service center with:

  • Product
  • Invoice copy
  • Warranty card (if provided)

They will repair or replace the item as per their policy.


4️⃣ Register a Warranty Claim Online (If Brand Supports It)

Many brands offer online warranty claim portals:

  • Havells: Register service request on their website
  • Schneider Electric: Raise complaint through the service portal
  • Philips Lighting: Support request form
  • Polycab: Local service center support
  • Crompton: Online complaint & service

Just submit product details + invoice, and the brand will arrange repair/replacement.


5️⃣ For Replacement DOA (Dead on Arrival)

If your product is damaged or not working on arrival, do this within 48 hours:

  1. Take photos/videos of the issue
  2. Email us at support@myelectric.in
  3. Include your Order ID and contact number

We will coordinate replacement as per brand & courier policies.


6️⃣ For Industrial or Bulk Orders

For large/industrial products (MCCBs, ACBs, contactors, motors):

  • Warranty is always handled directly by the manufacturer
  • Site inspection may be required
  • DOA cases must be reported immediately

We help coordinate with the brand if needed.


7️⃣ What Is Not Covered by Warranty

Typical exclusions include:

  • Physical damage
  • Burnt products due to wrong installation
  • Overloading or short circuits
  • Unauthorized modification/repair
  • Normal wear & tear

Each brand’s policy may differ.
